A mild cold wave is sweeping over the country, disrupting normal life and causing suffering to people mostly in the north-western districts.
The cold wave, mild to moderate, sweeping over Mymensing, Rajshahi , Rangpur, Tangail, Faridpur, Gopalganj, Srimangle, Jessore, Kushtia, Barisal and Bhola districts, and it may continue and spread, says the Met Office.
The country’s lowest temperature was recorded at 6.6 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat of Kurigram.
“The cold wave may continue for four to five days. Thick fog may occur in the midnight at different places over the country, Bazlur Rashid, a meteorologist at Bangladesh Meteorology Department, said.
